I want to start out by saying a few things.
Last year I introduced a turbo manifold as an Alternative to the cracking headers, I called upon some very prominant people to help me with this project and overall it was a success.

There were some complaints of loss of power Vs the headers more so with Apex than RX models.

Most of which had nothing to do with the manifold itself.

So we went back to the drawing board and redesigned the manifold with a divider up the middle essentially converting it in to a Tri Y design and additional bracing.

We offered this update for free to anyone who wanted it some took it and some are happy with the first design.

I took a lot of Rash comments about my manifolds and remained professional through it all.

I sold 20 manifolds last season, I have updated about half of them, some of the manifolds that came in for updating have over 3000 miles on them with no cracks and only the first 4 made did crack one of which I replaced with an updated version.

4 customers gave me a real hard time on here and over at Snowwest boards, most of which were just band wagon riders.

1 called me only days after recieving it and wanted a refund of course there were underlying problems that he refused to fix so I gave in and refunded his money since he was in the 30 day Policy.

This may have been a mistake since the other 3 felt they should have a refund after that.

The other 3 guys refused the upates and tore me up with no basis of knowledge, and continue to do so every chance they get.

Subject 06 Apex GT
Mods list is long but here goes
Alpine turbo kit that originally came with 2554 turbo and cracked 3 headers 1 in half.
Single down pipe in to Excell exhaust
My Updated Turbo manifold with divider pictures to follow
Stock engine Fresh with 3 head gaskets and no modification to cam timing
RB3 with stock injectors and 3 bar map sensor
Garrett GT2560R turbo modified to fit this Kit.
Vortech Bypass valve.
8 PSI wastegate and Turbo Smart manual Boost controller Running 12 PSI on Pump gas.
Clutching is the key here to prove performance.
Supreme Tool Supertips 60 gram base loaded with 82 grams, Dalton Black Green Spring, Yamaha White Secondary spring set on 6-1 with Dalton 54-48 helix.
Pulls 10,500 at 12 psi.
This sled also has a 144 x 2 inch paddle track.
Anyone Who knows clutching will agree you need a lot of power to pull this clutching.
The Throttle response is extremely good, if traction is lacking at all it will bang the rev limiter.

You guys see what I do with Turbo Sleds I just got back from riding this sled and I will tell you it is No Joke this thing is Fast at just 12 psi.

No It may never make the Power that a 4 tube header makes but I would say it is with in 10-20 hp all day long based on the clutching it pulls.

I am also confident that replacing the single down pipe with a double down pipe will make the comparison even closer.

So you have to make a descission do you want reliability or max power with more maintenence.

I will never argue a manifold is faster than a header but I will argue it is stronger and will last longer with acceptable perfomance.

Last week this sled ran like a peice of crap until I installed and tuned the RB3, the Fuel controller was the cause not the manifold.

If you have nothing good to say keep it to yourself because I now have the data to back up everything I ever said.

Just for comparison, the set up on my sled clutching wise is very close to what that sled has. Running the CPR header 3 tube design. I am almost the same conditions and elevation as well

83 grams on STM Super tips, dalton green primary spring, Yamaha white secondary on 6-1 wrap, and running the shockwave helix, that is set 3 turns out for fluff, and 1 turn out for hard pack, roads. Yamaha 8DN belt. pulls 10700, and hits rev limiter out of the hole every time

All this is on 12lbs boost on a 2860 turbo, 136 speed track 300 trail carbide picks

Keep your chin up Ted, you are making some killer goods and when you make a mistake you step up, admit it, and repair it. You can not do any better than that. ;)!
