If i am keeping the stock air intake and muffler would i still need to add the Dalton weights with Ecotrail 240 or Powertrail 250? I have a 2020 SW GT.

Thanks in advance,

Rob

Check out the max 16. It's a stock muffler tune. Love it over the power trail. 260hp. Clutch and blow off valve. It's an easy on things, set it and forget it.

Don't have to with the ecotrail. Probably best to have a bit more weight with 250 or higher, but I know a guy running max spool 16 on 17 T-Cat with stock clutching and he says it works great, runs around 9000.

He may think it runs great but something ain't right if he's running MS 16 with stock clutching.

Well I ran all stock clutch components with all 3 tunes that I have had. Ecotrail, MS16 2 bar and MS16 3 bar.
Installed BOV once I got into the 16s and I also had the secondary clutch pocket deepened. Swapped out the stock helix for a Dalton 35/39 with the 16 tunes to help keep the revs down on top, But I did have weight added to my clutch weights by way of washers! I like 8950 - 9050 with the 16 tunes! Dealer set this up and I adjusted them for my liking afterwards. My weights and rollers got toasted during my last season ride with more then 8K on them.
So this year Gforce 15mm rollers with my Dalton DTA1 loaded to 76-77 grams, MS17 with TD’s SQ 2.5” muffler, and a Blue Brown Blue Yamaha primary spring is where I am starting. Engagement is at 2800 and I am hoping I need more weight not less, otherwise it will be a Dalton primary spring.

So yes it can be done but takes a bit of testing.

Yes no doubt it can be done but when I hear "stock clutching" I think of it as how it came from the factory, not adding weight or changing a helix.

I have been told by reputable people on here that the xs825 belt will pull down your revs...... This might be the case here?

I run Powertrail with stock clutch weights loaded with 4.5 rivets and a 35/39 helix .Also a Thunder orange spring wrapped @ 50 along with the XS belt. Runs about 8900. Smooth 2800 engagement and great trail manners.

I run Max Spool 16 with the stock map sensor. Stock weights, Yami Blu/Brn/Blu primary spring, stock secondary, XS825 belt, Turbo smart BOV. She spins 9,100 on the regular. Love it.

I didn’t think it could be done without adding tip weight to the stock weight!
I was wrong, glad to hear that such an easy combo works for you!

I know I'm leaving some power on the table with this setup, but it was inexpensive, and I haven't blown a belt yet.
