TD header, tune & afpr question

Many AFR gages use Bosch LSU 4.9 sensor. P/n 15025 I believe. Can buy them on eBay (genuine Bosch) for about $25.

My sled has residue but not so easy to tell since it's black.
Oh, nice....the ones on Amazon are $40.
I was just happy to know, it's the way it is (carbon) I'm not a fan of the discoloration. Even tried Wesley's bleach white. I'll follow Bob's recipe to Solve that problem.
Gives me one less thing to worry about.

For cleaning on your sleds try a product from Boaters World called Roll Off .. Its the best cleaner I found to work on original decals and works even better if you keep wax on them beforehand..

I would suggest protecting the cooling hose from header heat.

The heat protector suggested by KnappAttack in this thread is what I have used and it has stood up well.

Hey Bob. Wondering if heat shield you put on is still working for you? Other thing I see is you installed it with the shiny metal side UP. Guessing you did this so it was not metal on metal? I have this same stuff and doing a mod, and was wondering if this set up is holding up?

Thanks

Yes I installed it shiny side up. The proper way is to have the metal side to the heat. I never really considered the orientation when I installed it and I installed shiny side out mainly for aesthetics and luckily it is standing up well. The extra shield does not touch the header and there is an air gap between it and the header and also hardly touchs the tank.

As you can see in this old thread others have installed the shield in same orientation.

TY.. Anyone putting any kind of high temp locker/?? on header nuts?
Or just clean up good and torque to 20?

This garage racing is getting old.. Need more snow. STAT. Was the middle LOWER nut on the stock header fun? Is it just as fun with the TD header?

You're welcome to drive west and we can put your SW on the track dyno, @Turboflash will tell you you'd likely learn alot.
