If you want to run 17 psi tunes you should purchase the TS BOV and the GAP 3 bar MAP sensor. I can absolutely tell the difference between Powertrail and Max Spool 17.
Please note that Max Spool 17 requires higher octane fuel. I found that a full tank of 91 octane with 32 ounces of Torco or 93 octane with 16 ounces of Torco seems sufficient.

Thanks for the reply, I will look into this. I have the adapter, so I'll mount my phone to show boost while I drive.I just went through the exact same thing. My stock bov was leaking at 15.4lbs. How I found this out is after discussions with TD and 1100saber I reversed my bov and my boost went up to high 16s which is as high as the stock map sensor reads. I purchased a TS bov and all is good now.

Yes, thanks. I just talked to someone at TD, and he said that the stock blow off valve starts to leak at 14-15, which explains why I couldn't notice max 17. I did add a gallon of 116 to the premium fuel when trying max 17If you want to run 17 psi tunes you should purchase the TS BOV and the GAP 3 bar MAP sensor. Max 17 or Max Spool 17? I believe that there is a difference but I am not exactly sure what it is.
Ben?

With the TF BOV & GAP 3 bar MAP sensor you can upgrade to Max Spool 17. This is the tune that I now trail ride. I bring cans of 93 octane with Torco in my trailer for filling up each morning before hitting the trail and I carry a can of Torco in my tunnel bag for filling up on the trail.

that is normal for very low RPM engagement. Hard to make boost at 2500 rpm... You have to play with Fuel % until you reach desired boost. The boost adjustment doesn't work much, no need to play with that.question for guys who have anti lag with TD i put example 4lbs of boost on antilag and barely get 1lbs off boost do you guys have that problem?
The extra boost is gotten with fuel adjustment. It has to pop in the exhaust and be stable too...
Not one sled will need the exact same setting.

Hi bro,do you think I could run my sandale 3" and my CAI with TD max spool 16 and beable to run just 91 octane?Dave,
Great write up. I'm running a 22t top gear and at half throttle will net 112 mph on speedo. When you give it the other half, oh my goodness...the sweet note coming out of that pipe, then the sled squats, the skis come off the snow, and the thing just plain turns violent!!! I absolutely love it!!! Best part..... trail riding will net 15mpg even with some routine flogging!!! It certainly is a great time to be alive!!! Lol. TD Rocks!!![]()

You should ask @1100saber, I think he might run the 3" sandale and he does have a CAI. I just seen him post somewhere that he ran max 17 on 91 all last weekend with no knock.

I ran Max 17 ever since knock protection came out on the trail with not one sign of knock.

I trail ride the TD Max Spool 17 with TD CAI, TD Turbo Force muffler, Turbo Smart BOV, & GAP 3 Bar MAP sensor. I used to think that I needed 93 octane & a half can (16 oz) of Torco but I have been fine with 91 octane and a half can of Torco for trail riding. I suspect that I could get by with straight good quality 91 octane fuel if I trail rode with no long full throttle pulls but I put the Torco in just to be safe and it is easy to carry a can in my tunnel bag.
The key thing here is to get fresh quality fuel. Trail riding with short bursts of full throttle requires less octane than long full throttle lake pulls. You probably are fine with good fresh 91 octane fuel when trail riding Max Spool 17. Perhaps Ben can chime in?
