With all this extra time with the c19 crap figure it's a great opportunity the address and repair some issues
- repair rear skid mount
- replace bent front cross shaft with heavier rr shaft ac part #3604-711
- replace driveshaft bearings with skf
- install coolant hose protectors in tunnel
- oil change
-install header wrap and reinstall header
- inspect skid and replace idler bearings
-grind the spacers for the clamp between motor and throttle body for tighter clamping force
- drill holes in the plate behind the intercooler for more flow
-decided to run my 1 1/4 track one more
season but going to add studs on every second window on the outside of track
- clean sled thoroughly
- install custom wrap

Yamamarc:
How big of a job is it to get to the clamps on the throttle bodies? They look to be buried in there deep.
Also, approx how much did or do you plan to remove from the spacers?
TIA

Did you ever decide on a wrap for your header? I know they have helped a lot on some of the high boost diesels I have worked with in the past, not sure what exhaust temps a tuned 998 is running though.

Haven't tackled it yet but I been looking at it real close!lol it's not going to be easy that's for sure
I am going to start removing parts until I can get to them. Once I start I'll take a tonne of pics and post a thread to try help others
I am going to shave 1/16" off the spacers

Yes I am going with with design engineering titanium 2 inch wrap
Looking at this dyno sheet it's shows around 1500*f

I find it interesting that the middle cylinder is running coolest EGT, is there more heat going into the block/cylinder itself there? 1500*F is very manageable, you should see a decent improvement in temperatures under the hood with the wrapping.

Hi yamamarc.
wrapped your headers is not a good idea. Ask your manufacturer....!

RR crossshaft have the same weakness than stock.( bushing)View attachment 154801

You would be a LOT better whit PEFI strong shaft or BOP.
Holly crap your just as hard on your sled then I am..lol thanks for the heads up I will check out pefi!

What are the negative effects you know of Byam

Thanks
Marc

Nice!! Whatcha doing to her?

I have done a lot of upgrades already...here's what I am doing now

2019 XTX LE
2500 miles since new all on Hurricane tune

Disassemble and inspect chaincase:
-found top gear bushing partly worn and appears to have been chattering...there was small brass particles on the back of the gear
-changing gears from 21/37 to 26/46 - 15wide billet gears from Taylor racing...same ratio but I like the bigger top gear and 15wide bottom gear
-everything else in chaincase good

Remove and inspect clutches:
-all good

Remove and inspect suspension:
-installed Dupont sliders
-suspension bushings, shocks, idler wheels, and shafts all ok

Remove and inspect drive shaft
-BOP bearing wedge for 2500 miles, everything looked good, no signs of bearing turning on shaft
-checked drivers for alignment with track and centered in tunnel...all ok

Install Powermadd adjustable bar riser

Installed High output Fuel pump and Regulator and relocated fuel return line overhead pump slipper

Awsome!!!
I plan on the adjustable risers also and possibly a mountain seat to help with bad back!
What fuel pump did you go with walbro gss342?
I am looking at pefi pump/ reg kit with return line relocation

I bought the Hurricane pump and regulator kit and just installed a return line myself.
I got some installation tips from Mike Knapp.
That PEFI fuel pump upgrade kit is really nice and addresses all the potential issues.
