how many people are using his 2560 turbo as an upgrade? I am one  c ant wait to try it. :-o :-o

You up graded from what ------? To a 2560??

Why do People think that a 2560 is a good turbo??? Ive never seen a turbo so small on a 1000cc anything.

Why do you use a small turbo so you cant make good power??

How much Back pressure do you have on the EX Side at 20psi at 5000 feet elevation?????

Turbo 1320
I think CPR use the BIG 2554 with the standard kit.
and a 2860 with with the lake race kit
Don't know what their going to gain with that upgrade????? The 2860 has a 53.8mm turbine versus a 53.0mm turbine with the 2554 or 2560 neither of which can work well with 22PSI. Way out of breathe.

Backpressure ???? What's that????? :exc:

The Guys that are upgrading to a 2560 started out with a 2554, there is a big difference in performance without the loss in response that you would get going to a 2860.

These guys are not looking to run more than 15-18 psi trail riding so it is a perfect fit.

I run my 2560 at 22 psi for 660 ft. and you all know how that runs.

Here is a little rule that fits this motor size.

up to 12 psi 2554
up to 18 psi 2560
up to 25 psi 2860
up to 32 psi 2871
up to 38 psi 3071

This puts these turbos in they're sweet spot on this motor.

Not to say you can't run them higher or lower but they work the best in this range.

Hope this clears things up.

Ted.

thanks ted for the input.I dont run more then 700 ft.There are bigger horse power then me around and they can t beat me in that distance .I just used mine for racing. There were two 1500 cc mods in the open class and I put them out also.If you were running 1000 to 1500 ft then I would say go bigger.

When your sled starts to move How much Power are you making??

Not how much boost you have but how much power??

And if you Beat a sled with More HP then I want to see the Dyno chart to prove it or you have a Better Clutch set up or something???

Is your opinion that a higher HP sled will win a 660' drag race every time?

No what Im saing is if I can put a Bigger turbo on and make the same power as a small turbo as the sled leaves then why do I need a smaller Turbo???

If you can hook it up, you probably wouldn't.

Now come on, nobody will bite on that worm, at least nobody thats been playing this game for any lenght of time that is.
That being said, traction being equal and positive (no track spin) and clutching correct, the sled with a higher power to weight ratio should win.
