The ones that think a 2560 Turbo is better than a 2860RS or a 2871 Turbo.

GT2560/GT2860RS
Gt2560 won't even come close to making long hard pull on Apex because of following reasons.
GT28R/gt2560 shares same exhaust as gt2554 and has way too high back pressure and at 15 lbs boost in the moutains GT2860RS has over 20 km faster track speed going up hill in powder.
Headers will crack because of high heat.
Over 200 turbo kits built and we have snow

Oh good, I have a 2860 so it looks like I qualify.
You don't have many posts on this forum, but the ones you do have seem to be a bit antagonistic. Sorry, that might be a bad read on my part, but that's how you come across.
I get the impression from your posts that you have good experience to share if you wanted to...

Antagonistic? Yeah maybe, But it is funny to come to a site where people talk about Boost like it has anything to do with HP.
Here is one for ya , How much Boost can my stock rods handle???
It seems like Im back in 1988 with my old Rayjay turbo Draw thru on my GS1100 when I see people saying a 2560 is a better turbo than a 2860 or a 2871.
On my experience that I want to Share?? Well ive helped ,Dave at Powderlites, Dave Hurricane on 526HP and OneStop Jim on his Project and there is a few More out there that are going to be Smashing anyone that races them!
Ive made over 500HP on a B-16,B-18,H-22,EVO,s2000,Hayabusa and My OUTLAW Bike make 647HP and I run a GT67 Turbo on a 1300cc motor and it has no problem making 250HP at 7500rpm at launch.(It can make MORE) I run 8 750cc injectors and two Boush 044 pumps.
I have a Street Bike that Makes 520HP and has gone 226MPH with a GPS and have pulled 185MPH Power wheelies, Its being rebuilt to run a Mile against Vipers with twin turbos Down the Highway in Vages, About 250MPH and the Bike will have about 610HP at the wheel.
I run the Bikes on a Dynojet 250i and the cars on a superflo.
I also build my own Nitrous kits that have been 7.02@ 198MPH Ive been doing this for 25 years!
You will see alot of New Toys coming frome Powderlites.

At what RPM, and at what level of boost? Timing set at what? What fuel are you running? Are you asking about tensile strength, or compressive load?
You don't provide enough information for me to provide a meaninful answer. Of course, you are asking a question that you already know the answer to, so your question is not really a question, it is a test.
So what is your point?

I have a Motor that runs 32PSi and makes 366HP and I have another motor that runs 32PSi and makes 526HP.
So what is the point of asking How much Boost my stock rods can handle when you have Differnt HP levels at the same BOOST??

Someone remind me not to mess with turbo1320. Wonder how many races he's won? I already don't like this guy! Should belly up to the bar real well. Bar racers should say in the bar where they belong. Your not doing powerlites any favors telling us what you've done dude. Go back to the AMSNOW forums and maybe you can impress the girls over there.

I think TY should canvass from us here the members some cash and put on a race . Call it the buck stops here race . I would like to see all these expert engine / turbo experts run. Usually I have found the guys that are quiete and reserved are the guys doing all the winning. The blow hards usually say like a snow flake blew into to my eye at the line or no fair I wasnt ready or Hes cheating

Yeah, but I bet he knows that gear reduction has NO affect on hp?

Ted Jannetty said:The Guys that are upgrading to a 2560 started out with a 2554, there is a big difference in performance without the loss in response that you would get going to a 2860.
These guys are not looking to run more than 15-18 psi trail riding so it is a perfect fit.
I run my 2560 at 22 psi for 660 ft. and you all know how that runs.
Here is a little rule that fits this motor size.
up to 12 psi 2554
up to 18 psi 2560
up to 25 psi 2860
up to 32 psi 2871
up to 38 psi 3071
This puts these turbos in they're sweet spot on this motor.
Not to say you can't run them higher or lower but they work the best in this range.
Hope this clears things up.
Ted.
This has got to be for sea level right Ted? No way my motor would run those pressure levels at 10k' with those turbos, not efficiently anyway.

87gt NOS, Why do you think I believe that? What I said was reduction has an effect on what you input into the dyno program. These clowns don't impress me with all the talk about big power. They come on here and try to impress us all with these big dyno #s and such. Half the time thy don't know how to run the dyno. Show me one of these lake race braggarts that have ever won a ISR World Series race, or set any kind of world record. All they are doing is bench racing. No more than guy at the bar telling someone how fast their machine is. When it comes time to put out, their full of excuses. There I said it. These Lake racers are not fast, that is why they stick to the lake and do the internet racing thing. They can't get it done on the track with rules for the class. Their big BLOWHARDS! Ted has done a great job with this turbo and this dude has come on here trashing the turbo he uses. Right, 1320 is going to show him who's boss sitting behind a keyboard. He's a BLOWHARD bar racer.
