Hey everyone, I have a 07 phazer fx and am hooking up a tether. I did some research and found that I need a normaly closed tether. I have this and want to know what to hook it into. I found my kill switch wires and am wondering if that would be the easiest way. It looked like on past 4 strokes people have spliced into the brown wire which i have found. I am just looking for some clarification on this subject regarding tethers on the new phazer. I can get pictures if needed. Thanks a bunch

I basically did the same thing that was talked about in this topic.

I found where my kill switch wire was able to connect and disconnect which is a little ways below the handlebar mount and off to the side. I spliced the all brown wire above that connection and put a male and female connector on so if needed I could hook them back together. If you need pictures I can try and get some up.

so your saying you wired one tether wire to one side of the brown wire and the other tether wire to the other side of the brown wire right? I will be doing mine a few days.

Exactly right. Then when the tether gets pulled its cuts it off basically like the kill switch. I dont see any reason as to it harming the snowmowbile but I am new to the 4 strokes.

It should work the same as turning the key off.
Interrupt the 12 supply to the key, and it should in theory work.
