I bought a fuse box for my XTX that I plan to wire directly to my battery. I am going to plug in my heated jacket(max 77w), pants(max 44w), gloves(?w), auxiliary LED lights(40w), and heated shield(?w). Do you guys think this is too much draw on the battery? Will the alternator keep up with the draw on the battery?
Thanks, Bob

I dont remember exactly how much extra you can draw from the stator, but i dont think its possible to use all that additional equipment.
Have you thought about replacing the headlight bulbs with some kind of leds to free up some power?

The Nytro's power output is almost maxxed ouit as it is. Yamaha has even cut out power to the handgrips until rpms are above 4000 I believe.
I think you'll tax the system, resulting in a premature failure of your stator and/or battery.

For sure. I wonder if anyone makes a kit to bolt on a alternator? They can put a supercharger on so why not a alternator? Small one like some bikes have should be enough and would be easy enough to wire.

That's what I was afraid of. I didn't want to buy the Yamaha HID headlight since I already had the LED's from my bike. The extra light makes a huge difference. I'll limit it to just the heated jacket and shield and probably spring for the headlight. My summer/fall upgrades are adding up fast.
