Took the Plunge

No need to panic LOL. You'll see OP-LO, oil pressure low, every time you start it. The other is a mileage countdown, in miles, from the moment your low fuel light comes on. Don't worry, you have PLENTY of fuel when that light comes on. 1st time it happened to me I freaked.we were about 30 mi. from the hotel in the middle of nowhere. Rode 29 mi. with the light on and babying the throttle. Filled up and it took 7 gal. to fill it. My '11 Apex XTX gets a consistent 15 mpg, so anytime I'm aound 100 mi. I look for fuel. enjoy your new machine!!! ;)!

Thanks guys. I will read the manual tonight. I did burp it a couple times today just to smile a little but I was VERY careful with it today. This is my second APEX. I love these damn machines

Does the OP LO light always come on just for a second and then go out? I checked the level tonight per the manual and it was fine.

I would get about 2,000 miles out of my slides. Didn't do a lot of lake riding mostly trail for the most part I could have got more but choose to change them just to be safe. For $20 i didn't really if I got more. I hear the new slides will double that can't wait to try them out on a new XTX.

Yes, every time you start the sled it will read op-lo for a couple seconds then go out. Don't worry, it's normal. I absolutely love my 2011, it is one sick machine especially in the mid range, better hold on.

OK, another question. Steering is way to light, lotsa ski lift out of corners, and too much drifting. Much more than my LTX. What can I do to get more ski pressure on the XTX? I'm all ears, I can do these adjustments, I just need to know what to adjust to get some steering. I will probably go with better carbides next year, but I will most likely not stud this sled.

With the stock skis you need to pull the limeter straps up 2 holes.I have Powder Pros on mine and love them in all conditions. The stock skis are very weak on that sled...No floatation and the keal is only3/4 of an inch.
