Looking for a place to put tools on a 2008 phazer. I am thinking of finding a tool box similar to the one on my 2007 mountain. Anyone had something else? I have the windshield bag, just looking for something else.

How about the one that fits up between the A-arms? Scroll down to post #4 in this thread to see the one I'm talking about, if you're not already familiar with it.

Yes, I think that is what Yamaha did for tool storage from 2008-on, but I could be wrong on the date. I agree that it would be a pain to get to/clean off/unfreeze the zipper, etc. if you ever did need it. I have often wished that Yamaha would have made the seat removable with two pins instead of bolts, and had a storage compartment build in. Now that I think of it, there may be room under one of the side covers, but obviously you'd have to rig up something to hold the tools. At least the box on the tunnel on the 2007's doesn't take up much space and is pretty convenient to get to, and has enough room to store a few other small items.

Yes our 08 has the tool pouch up front, and I am not a fan.
