Pefect conditions on mostly ice I've had my 06 going 97 mph with the the 20 tooth upper gear from the 07. You gain top end and fuel economy but lose some low end grunt becuase Yamaha screwed all the 06 owners with no low range. In snow about 140 km/h seems average.

Snow conditions will effect top speed significantly. Last week on hard packed groomed trails I saw 90 mph on the speedo. My GPS doesn't lie like most snowmobile speedometers do and it said 83mph.
After having Polaris widetracks, this speed is amazing to me. I can now keep up with my wife on long trips. I may be able to sell my fast sled and just have the VK. It certainly is warmer to ride in sub-zero weather than a switchback.
