torquing head down

doing a turbo install and getting different answers on how to torque down the head with 3 gaskets. Whats the best way to do it?

I have heard from a few people that did 50lbs and pulled the stud out of the block!

This is how i did mine and the gaskets where dry.

I did mine as per yamaha, something like 12 ft lbs plus 120 degrees? I can't remeber the specs off hand.

I'm using a headshim though, so that may make a difference

I did it per the Yamaha specs as well, 14lbs + 121,105, and 140* depending on which bolt. Its page 5-20 in the service manual.

Haven't got to test yet, still waiting on...

20 nm=14.75 foot pounds
35 nm=25.81 foot pounds
50 nm=36.87 foot pounds

are these conversions correct if so i will use this method.
