Has anyone weighed there 151c mtn.rx-1 full of gas .The guy who sold me mine (used)said he weighed it full of gas and it was 675lb's.Does this sound right?Reason being i'm just getting it back from a custom shop (with the stuff below on my signature getting done)and i want to know how much they knocked off. I'D sure like to know what the pinball wizzards sled now weighs ,that sled sounds like the ultimate mountain machine!

Sorry I've been so busy at work have not had time to weight it,soon. Have some pictures being scaned tonight (not completly finished pictures yet still in camera) hope to post tomorrow if I can figure that out.

Wet Weight

I put my rx1 mtn on a pallet and weighed it on a scale that was designed for weighing pallets of concrete block and it came to 715#. This is full of all liquids , tool box in it ,a plastic shovel , and also has reverse. It was a certified scale so I assume that it's pretty accurate. According to Yamaha this sled is 589# dry plus 6# for reverse, which puts the liquids at roughly 115#. Lets see , 10 gal. gas(63#) 1.5 gal. antifreeze(12#) 4 qts oil(8#)chaincase and shock oil(maybe 1 qt. 2#), seems to add up to about 30# heavier than Yammi's numbers. Ken

We weight one bone STOCK full of fuel and it was 696lbs.

We re-weighed it after light weight battery, new tunnel and rear skid and a turbo. New weight was 676lbs. These beasts are heavy!

Super heavy. The only upside is that it is fairly easy to cut 60 - 80 lbs off them. Also, when you couple that with the fact I only have to start a ride with 6 gallons on board, vs my kid's 12.5 gallons for his 800 summit (40lbs diff), you can get the sled to point where it climbs and boodocks very comparable to a stock 800 2-stroke. The bonus is you end up with sled that also handles great on the trails, doesnt stink, doesn't foul plugs, and has smooth motor that should last a hell of a lot longer than the 4K my last two 2-strokes burned up at.

proof is in the pic ... fyi i inserted a blow up of the read out in same pic

having probs with pic but she weighed 697 :?

 I did'nt know they were THAT heavy,I'm gonna take it out first time this weekend,I hope I could learn how to ride this thing before my turbo comes in a couple weeks!

Climbax where did you get the weights for Cat, Rev and Polaris? Are they verified? Also is there a link to a post of what you've done to yours to shed weight?

I would also like to see a list of what you've done to get 100lbs off. I have shed a little over 75lbs and can see only about another 8lbs I can shed with another $800 but am looking for some cheaper ideas. What is a hotz chassis? I've got their slide and a-arms.

I think we should weigh these things on the same scale. A little dissapointed in weight 635 but I really like the look and the ride is awsome. I guess going to a 159 fully clipped track adds some weight.
Wouldn't trade it for anything :!: :!:

I would'nt be disapointed with that weight, mine probably still weighs 660lbs and it feels great to ride 635 must feel awsome!
