that apex with the yamacharger has got issues. its 7 mph slower than a 136 apex. the 1 inch track might be good for a few mph, not 7. also the exhaust and ram air might give 8hp on top, but the yamacharger should still have 12hp more overall. something is not right. the more results i read about these yamaghargers, the less impressed i am.

Apex ltx stock rpm 10200 climbing to 10700 on a long run
with the kit go to 10500 and stay there
last year i was using ulmer stage 2 and it was good but to strong on a start ( lot of spinning need more studs to hooks up)
With the terminator kit less spinning then it climb faster on the snow

All the reports I have read from OWNERS of a yamcharger have been positive. I have read two negative reports and BOTH were from guys who
"have a friend with a yamacharger" and wouldn't ya know it, they always beat their friends charged apex with their stocker.. If you want info on the charger talk to owners of the system, not guys who know someone who owns one that they beat.. I can tell you right now my sled with the charger on it is faster than it was stock and I'd be willing to race any apex with "just an airbox mod, exhaust, and clutch kit" ANYTIME with my apex with "just a yamcharger and clutch kit"

So I installed the terminator kit, 6-2 wrap on the secondary. 62g (empty dalton) and I am only pulling 9800-10,000 RPM can't get it to go any higher. Roe the record I did install new buttons on the secondary. Can someone tell me if this is normal? 2006 Attak

That would be too low. I ran 11K with the weights empty. How many miles on the secondary spring? Did you start with a new belt? What were your rpm's before installing the kit?

Ya do you think the secondary spring is wore? its got 8500miles on it? stock was 10,600. New belt yes! White spring (stock attak)

I would start there since you are already running a new belt. It's a cheap thing to test.

I finally got back out on my today, temps were-10c ,running on hard pack, empty weights, couldnt get anymore than 10400 it just feels like there is no top end now. kit is coming out, going back to stock. might be a good kit for the trail guys, but imo, its not for the lakes.

I'll report back after next weekend, but I have already had mine to 110 on GPS and that is with a 128 Cobra track with 170 studs. This was on a rail bed, but I haven't had a chance for a top speed run around here. Heading north next weekend and hoping to find a spot. With my weights empty I ran right at 11K, so it seems like something else may be keeping your rpm's down. Also - 10,400 isn't far from where you want to be. This kit does feel slower, but in my testing it is as fast as anybody else's kit out there and faster than what most guys on here run. I'll post full results next weekend. You really need a sled to run against to see if you are making gains.

I'm also running the trail terminator kit on my 2007 apex Gt
I've tried running 62G (empty dalton ) and my rpm's where 10900-11000
now i'm running 62G (3.1g in each ) total 65.1G and my rpm's are right at 10 500 rpm and slightly rasing to 10 700 when i'm running over 80 mph on a hard packed trail
Sled only has an MBRP exhaust system ,the rest is all stock ,
track is also not studded

I have 2011 SE with 500+ miles, while out on the lakes my best run was 93 gps mph with max rpm at 10,000. The only mod is the addition of 153 studs. From the postings it appears something needs to be modified. Will the terminator kit fix this problem or should I look for another problem. I have read that after 1000m the output improves slightly but can't imagine that significant change. The conditions were at 16F on a previous broke trail with about 3-4" loose snow across frozen lake.

ess...you still need to break it in....after about 1000 miles it will free up. if the rpm is still to low then start looking around for the answer. mine ran better after my first oil change...got rid of that break in oil!

I have a chance to test the terminator kit last week end for the second time with my apex ltx i must say then i change my up gear (23) to 24 i did 3 runs with the gps one at 118 mph and two other runs at 116 mph. Remember this is 136 inchs track rpm was 10400 which i think it is too low
now i am gone to change the pri. spring for a harder one to raise rpm. a bit and give another try next week
Apex ltx 08 hacksaw track 108 studs excell muffler ram air
Again very happy with the kit

Im getting ready to head up to the Lake to do some long distance full throttle runs and try and tune my clutch in, Right now I've got 1.9 grams in each weight (62 gram) and Im not running enough Rs. Its only hitting 9800 or so at wot on long runs on hard pack... We'll see what I can do with it today...

Did you start with the weights empty? If not, start there and then add weight if needed. Have you verified the boost coming from the charger? It'd be good to know if you are seeing the 2#'s of boost you are expecting. The nice thing about these weights is being able to dial them in right on the lake. Hope you get it figured out!
