They're a pretty wide ski. I'd say the float better than a standard ski.

has anyone tried the darting fix on the front of the curve skis? because i find slim jims push quite a bit in soft conditions...i would prefer another method of preventing darting yet still keep push to a minimum.... C & A are great, but with EPS a lot easier than without..i wonder how hard they will be on steering effort...

The slim Jims don't push on the curves in my experience.
So wait.........I ordered a new sled and the skis are going to suck?

To be fair, the stock skis have sucked on every sled I've ever owned. The tuners aren't bad with shaper bars on them. Compare able to the pilots on the doos. A good aftermarket ski is a whole different ballgame though. So wait.........I ordered a new sled and the skis are going to suck?
Damn it.....lol

I ran stock skis for a lot of years on various machines. After you go aftermarket you won't go back. Find a ski that fits you needs. Now, to me it's just like studding a new track or swapping out to a prestudded one or changing the carbide on a new sled. Well worth the investment.Damn it.....lol
I have put aftermarket skis on both my srxs, just didn't expect to have to do it when spending 17gs

I have a 2 friends with cat turbo 9000's. 1 has C&A and 1 has Curve. Both studded, both running 8" shapers. Both toe'ed out about 1/4". Riding them back to back I much prefer the Curves.
Curves: Very little darting. Hold a line awesome coming around corners. Just a little bit heavier steering over the stock tuners on a Viper.
C&A: Allot!!! more darting. Don't hold a line quite as well. Better then stock yes, as good as the Curve...no. Much heavier steering. <<This was also the case last season when the guy with the C&A's had a z1 turbo.
Other people may have different results. But from my testing I will never have another sled w/out Curves on it. I can not speak for flotation as I have not taken the Curves off trail. I will say they are quite wide and look like they would work fine for flotation.

Did the 2016 Vipers have tuner 3s?
If so is/was there a set up to make the skis work?

They are pretty much the same as the twos other than the removable loop. My dad runs them with 6 in shaper bars in both locations and likes them. I ran 1 6 in shaper on the inside location and a 4 in round outside and they were really good till the snow got loose. My friend replaced his old mountain skis on his xtx with my old tuners and he likes them the way I had them for groomed trails.Did the 2016 Vipers have tuner 3s?

Hi All,
Is there anyway to put a summary together on the different skis that people are using? This might be a lot to ask but could be very beneficial to us Yamaha "newbies" I like a pretty aggressive corning sled a slight push is ok depending on how darty it gets.
