I have been surfing for Tuning Bike for the Rapid Bike 3, and don't see much on it. I know Dunn's performance has it as a service in Michigan. Is there anyone in Wisconsin with this as a service? Also what does the Tuning Bike cost if you buy it outright, and who sells it? Didn't see it on Powderlites site. I was told that the software for the bigger injectors and the stage two MPI kit are rated for up to 14lb's, and I would need tuning bike if the sled was pulling more then that to create a map easier[/list]

I think its about $5,000.00 it works ok in my eys. I would never pay $5000.00 for it. May be $500.00

Well in that case is there anyone in the Midwest who charges for it besides Dunns performance perflably in I'll or wi? Have no problem going to Dunn's. Just don't want to drive from Eagle River WI with the sled all the way around the lake if I don't have to?

I wouldn't waste the time (or the money) with tuning bike. Your going to have to tune it in the end by data recording or watching the gauges to get it spot on. If you have a map for 14 psi just up the fueling as you climb in boost. Make it pig fat then data record and adjust fuel accordingly. Better check to see if you have 2 bar or 3 bar map sensor also if your going into the high teens on boost. Tuning bike is ok at best and works on initial setups for machines that have no maps at all or very vague ones. By a Prologger to data log and for boost control (if you want to take the time to set the supercharger up for that).

RB3 isnt for anyone that doesnt like messing around countless hours. If you only get to ride a few days a year and drive many hours to get there you dont have time to be tinkering around. Most people I know with RB3 wish they had tuning bike because they dont know where to start best suited for drag racing and dyno tuning IMHO.

Tuning Bike

Tuning Bike is a tool that is very good at what it was designed to do.
You will need to have some training or help with juts setting it up and you will need a map that is safe and rich before doing any tuning on any motor.
Tuning Bike can be used as a Data logger as well.
No one would really use any type of auto tune or Rapid bike for drag racing. Sensors are never fast enough to tune for short runs.

What are you trying to do with it?? Boosted or stock?? I've found it easy to tune with A/F gauge and a little know how - I've used it on a stock sled and a boosted sled. Its one of the best piggy back computer i've used

Yes yes yes LOVE IT!!!!

Oh it might work fine when set up.For me it is kind of like jetting on the hill rather just have fuel injection and not worry about it.Yah its a boosted powderlites apex.
