Nytro Fx said:Hey, how a couple of questions for you guys...
With the barkers exhaust how far would you block the tunnel off? All the way to the back where the pipe comes out of the tunnel or just to the back of the exhaust can it self?
How thick of sheet would you use?
I am thinking about cutting thet heat sheild back and running the exhaust exposed. Shown where to possibly cut in the picture. Following the back shape of the seat... Think there will be any problem with this?
**the pictures are not mine, they are taken from the Barkers video**
Thanks,
Cameron
Hey just wondering if you went thru with this project and got some pictures of it completed. I am thinking about doing one also with the barker slip on, just wanted to see what it looked like at the end result

Re: Heat Shield
Did you have to reinforce the heat shield, or was it a just in case thing? I have an extra heat shield and was thinking about trying this mod. I like the looks of it.

I also cut mine back and didn't have any problems, ran it that way for an entire season. On the ceramic coating note, ask Hindle if it affects the structural integrity of the header. I coated my Excell header and nearly every weld was cracked at the end of the season, Excell said it was from the coating.

I saw an excell header that was cracked in the welds only one season old. This header was not coated.

Guys,
Ceramic coating should not cause the welds on the header to crack, we have not seen this problem with our street pipes but we still need to gather information for the snow application. We have made a prototype system for the Nytro with Shadow44 but we need some snow to test it. Ceramic coating with Hindle is not available yet until we have finished our testing.

Re: Heat Shield
Hey panic,
Is that a full Hindle system (spring mounted) with OEM flex joints removed?
Or your own slip on modded setup?
Cheers
