Heat doesn't cause detonation. Detonation causes heat. In a 2 stroke when you lean out the motor you can cause detonation. Which in turn creates heat which can cause you to burn holes in pistons like SRXRULES did in Munising last year. Intercoolers only work at WOT. Guys out turbo will work without an intercooler.
One question why do you think all this intercooler stuff is flying around? I'll tell you why, our kit is cheaper, lighter and will make close to if not the same HP as the intercooled versions.
The funny thing about this Turbo debate is these turbos can make more power then the drive train or crank could ever handle.
