turbo help please ASAP

Wow! Understatement of the year!

I spoke with 3 dealers, all said not an option. Every piece of Yamaha marketing said MTX only; what a fail on the marketing team! I would of been on a 2015 XTX turbo if I hadn't been told no 3 times.

Congrats on getting a great sled. You won't find a 1.75 track but should be able to find some 1.6" cobra take offs for a good price. I'd probably run the 2.25", just not on hard packed trails at high speeds.

your not kidding they told me no way only MTX and only at high elevation.

thats not true , the factory stated the kit was designed for use above 6k,installation of the kit below does not void your snowmobile warranty unless the failure is due to neglect or something i cant remember how they worded it and the link they gave me to read i can find now that the spring surge is over.
but my dealer said no option on he xtx le, until i made him enter it and he said "oh #*$&@, they do let me order it through the system with a waranty & turbo on the LE" my friend bought the se and no turbo option he is pissed off got quoted $45oo for the same kit... im the only one i know out here that got one.

The warranty will be fine unless they can prove the turbo caused it, now with a factory limited warranty i think its pretty close to the same, unless you forget to add oil or over heat the thing...probably a lot of situations. the dealer would know that a lot better than me!

The difference between mine and yours would be the Intercooler and i think thats it...might be some little thing other than that. Call Matt at MPI he will tell you everything you will need to know!!

This is not a factory installed turbo - it is a kit that you or your dealer installs and the the installation is extra. The Kit they are selling does not have the inter cooler. It is a base model. MPI is selling upgrade kits that you can install that will take it to the full 190 hp kit. They also have the upgrade kit with head shim, studs and fuel pump to raise it to 12#'s of boost max on that turbo.

Also if you are set up for high elevation - fuel controller and clutching when you drop to 2000 feet you will need to reprogram your fuel which is why you need to add AFR and boost gauges to know what is going on. And you will have to add weight to the clutching for the extra HP. You will over rev but there is a rev limitier to stop you from blowing the motor.
