Turbo Question ???

I've got an 03 rx1 with a homemade midmount turbo on it. I am currently running a GT 2560 on it and m looking at a 2860 for it . Would I see any real performance gain by switching ? How much more lag would it have ?

I'm going to keep it around 12 # until I figure out my a/f . I used to run 17 but have had problems with detonation.

17 is way too much for that little turbo. You had deto problem because you're way past your compressor map efficiency range. A larger turbo that can flow that number such as a 2863 will Have less deto and make much better power at the same boost number, 17.

HYFLYR's right that turbo is only efficient to 10 or so psi. GT2860 or GTX2863 will work better at 17psi.

i started out wiyh an rx1 but im in the middle of making it an rx1 mtn, bought a used bender kit, had turbo rebuild and would like some clue how to install, do u know where i should look other than full power? thanks yzmatt_98@yahoo.com
