Just wondering what everyone thinks of a supercharger in the RX-1s. It seems all the aftermarket companies decided to turbo vs supercharge and at a very premium price. I would of thought it would be cheaper and just as effective to tap the power off the gear reduction assembly somewhere and have a belt driven supercharger. Could this be done?

No one has been able to fabricate a cost effective drive for a blower yet. MPI was working at it, they now sell Bender turbo kits. 8)

Vance and Hines was working on a supercharger for motorcycle engines a couple of years back. The idea fell by the wayside when plumbing a turbo became easier than placing a belt and plumbing a supercharger.

ihave a friend here in quebec got a supercharger, he do all the kit , but i'm too fast for him ( i got a turbo with 215hp for trail and 245hp on high boost ). he spin too much at the start it's a yamaha dealer he sale the kit for $8000.00 cdn but i think he want to sale the kit only next year.
