Turbo

My pressure problem is solved, the hose was loose, but on the opposite side of where the picture was taken.

Hey Guys here is my new sled that arrived yesterday from Ontario,i bought it from gsxr on here.It is a 2007 Mtn Lite Phazer with a MCXpress turbo kit that right now is set at 12lbs of boost on pump supreme gas it has 400kms and has a 144x2 inch track i would like to tell you how it rides but untill we get more snow or i head west which im planning on doing probably the middle of april the ride report cant happen i dont think, but iam going to put it in the truck tomorrow and go to on the hunt as there are still some areas around here that have a little boot.So you guys with turbo phazers how do you find and like them and also how do you like the ride,I know it feels very confortable to sit on.Also i made a custom windshield for it out of a arctic cat fly screen i had, which is much nicer than the big orignal, what do you think? Here are some befor and after pics.
Pic of when i first got it on a little snow.

Get ready to move the air filter from under the seat. I had no problem on the trails, but first time in the powder, 5 minutes and I was cutting out, no power. Definately a problem. I moved it but haven't ridden it since.

Have you got any pics of yours after you moved it and what parts you used like bends etc and is there anything else i should look for as i am totally new toturbos and Yamahas for that matter also what about clutching i am at selevel and would like to get the clutching smack on and dont relly know where it should be at what is the rpm i should be looking for and does anyone have a killer set up for sealevel on a mtn lite phazer turbo and also i dont have the instructions for the kit and I was wondering if someone would like to scan them and send them to me,also my belt seems to be riding a little low in the secondary and i measured to se if the belt was wore but it is good so i was wondering if there is anyway to adjust the clutch to get the belt higher?
Thanks Roger

I will get some pics of the intake when I get it back from the dealer. Definately check the engine mount nuts, Id'e even remove and locktight them on. I just lost mine and took out the clutches :o| . I used a 2"pvc p-trap and a rubber 2" coupler. I don't have a clutch setup dialed in yet, but also ride lower elevation.

My flap fell off to day from an overkill "wheelie" :tg:
Also the MCX metal logo fell off... too weak weldings.
Maybe it's time to drill a hole in the end of the can and get som more power....

I saw 165 kph (102 mph) today on the meter, and it was increasing. But I ran out of space. Will try more next time. I have 700 miles on it now. Seems that the engine could start to loosen up a bit.

I would say .5-1 seconds lag to full boost. I am at 12 lbs with the head shim. It's ok for powder, a little too much lag for trails this way. Rumors are you can run no shim and a little less boost for better throttle response ;)!

I have asked mcx about this rumors and they have also heard about them but he asured me that this didnt came from them. They would not recomend it and told doing such a thing was completely madness.

I am not sure if trading the power loss for the loss of slight lag is worth it. If I wanted less lag, Id'e most likely go with a SC. Now if you could run race fuel and 15 lbs with no shim and it would hold together, I'm in :-o

I will try to install 2-3 primary clutch shims tomorrow to reduce lag a bit. I guess this will be the last sled weekend of the season, but still some snow in the Swedish mountains....
Anyone have done primary shims before ?

I miss some rpm's. I get about 11,200 and decreasing to 10,800 as I go up the hills so the weights are slightly on the heavy side.
I guess a hole in my can would fix that ?
Turbo pressure is about 0.9 bar.

Havent heard about anyone getting this sled with turbo clutched right yet.. Spoke with a guy that have had his sled at mcx and they also did the clutching. Engagement was aprox 6000rpm, no turbolag to complain about but he was over rewing. I would really like to here about a set up that really works, anyone....?

Teerex: I dont think a hole in your muffler will fix your problem. How is your sled working on flat land, do you have to low rpm here to?
