I just bought a Ulmer stage 2 clutch kit. I am working on the primary. I took the bolt and nut off the weight and pulled the pin out. The old pin will not fit through the new weight. I did tap it through but when I lock the set screws down the weight is very tight and will not move. What is the problem? I checked the pin on all three weights and they are all very tight. I sent Allen an email but he has not emailed back yet. Any Help?

This is very common. Just "hone" out the bushing on the new weight with a drill bit at low speed.

I have a .312 drill that is loose and the next size bigger is .328. The pin is .316. I think .008 of slop sounds like a lot? Maybe not. Any one else done this? Thank you

I had one that was very tight, rolled up some sandpaper and like said (honed out) sanded the weight and cleaned the pin off really good with fine paper. No biggie really, just keep working away at it, shouldn't take much... Brian...

Where in Michigan?[/quo
About 25 miles north of Grand Rapids. Sand Lake. I used 320 grit sand paper to open up the .002 I needed to get the pin through the bushing on the weight.
