Ultimate Sidewinder Muffler Decibel Test

And thanks to Blue Dave - here are some photos of the TurboForce that a couple of you have asked for, nice looking muffler. I'll be running the test this afternoon and intend to have the original post modified along with the video late this afternoon.

max flow out of this beast....very close to a straight pipe...

Good job. I've heard all of these mufflers except for the Sandale on a river where we race and you nailed it. The only muffler that seemed to get noticeably louder over the winter season last year was the Hindle. Be nice if you could get your hands on Hurricanes new Trail Quiet.

agree...ive heard the hindle with miles on used and unlike the one here which is new.....and it was loud...louder than the turbo force my friend had...hurricanes new offering will be interesting...

The new hurricane will be interesting for sure. I just wish it was mild enough to run without a tune. Maybe a carbon copy of it but as a 2.25 would be the ticket? Just thinking about those who want more but don't want a tune so they could sell the sled as stock without a big hassle to return it to stock.

#3 - It sounded REALLY good. I was surprised. I half expected it to sound like a louder stock muffler - which would be "metallic, raspy and louder that stock" - but NOT SO. It sounded really good. I don't think it comes through in the video, but it was plenty quiet and had a great sound, WAY better than stock. Ben did a hell of a nice job on this. And when I say "quiet", I could hear the usual clutch rattle at idle, that's not the case with any of the others except the actual stock muffler.
#4 - She definitely does not like 5000 rpm and above. But licking her butt is somehow ok.

Beerman You just interrupted Dan's latest attempt to break his record for most consecutive posts of 9 straight .
Try and be a little more considerate in the future !

SJ, I'm with ya on the SuperQuiet. That's one I'm hesitant to consider parting with for just that reason. But knowing this TD Stock Mod is within 5 hp or so of the SQ . . . It might be "the one" when I don't care about absolute max power.
