Wow, Beerman!
I believe I have met my twin possibly? I enjoyed this very much. The pics are spectacular and the video simply speaks for itself. And we get a chart too! You really did this thread up better then I have ever seen my friend!
I think you can see why I fell in love with the stock Modded. The sound is low, yet super enticing sound of performance. A stealthy performance. Stock is so tinny, and the modded fixes that yet keeps the big throttle end very respectable which is why over time it is super user friendly.
I got mine here too now. And its a nice piece of work. TD did a fantastic job on their mod, and I cant thank Ben enough. It will be awhile before I get to review mine though, as I plan to ride my stock setup for at least the initial part of season, and then slowly add things step by step. Really looking forward to this season. Sounds near exactly like my 1200 muffler when I had Boost engineering mod it, same exact idea and sound in end result.
This may be the greatest muffler thread of all time, no doubt!
Great work bud!
Dan

Im trying very hard to not start a build thread...LOL
That darn thread on DT last 2 yrs took a ton of my time, it was so meticulously laid out, with links to every MOD I did on page one, to get quickly to the rest of the thread....then some idiot messed with things and it got locked , all that work and locked. I can still view It as I have it bookmarked, it never gets bumped back up as noone can post.
Will see....

Ben told me the Stock Mod was only slightly louder than stock, but had a "Porche" type a sound to it. I also don't need an extra 5 hp for a louder muffler that will need repacking in future.
I feel i can trust your opinion now BEERDUDE. I'm asking you straight up to your face now (figuratively now); would you say for the average Joe or Steve would be happy with the Stock Mod considering it is :
1. quiet, but does not sound "tinny"
2. does NOT need to be rebuilt
3. still capable of making STUPID power
4. LEGALish
5. Pumps up my manEGO just enough
The young Steve in me wants a MEAN muffler to scare the public. The 50 year old Steve & 300 mile a day Steve likes his I-POD.
As i age my mufflers get quieter & my windshields get higher & my coffee gets blacker.
Give me your honest personnel BEERGUT opinion!!!!!!!!

Steve, I'm drinking my coffee straight up black right now as I type (it's not 9:30 AM yet so beer isn't appropriate). I'm in the same camp as you, the quieter the better, providing there's enough power under the flipper to make me giggle inside my helmet, or even better, yell crazy stuff that no one can hear like "I'm a pretty pretty princess and this throttle is my magic fairy wand" er . . . wait, no, not that one, I mean something more like "I'M A CRAZY BADA$$ MOTHER %^!$#@* VIKING COMING TO PLUNDER YOUR VILLAGE BITCHES", - yeah, more like that one.Ben told me the Stock Mod was only slightly louder than stock, but had a "Porche" type a sound to it. So 100% objective feedback.
- It sounded awesome. I was honestly surprised and it exceed my expectations there. I loath the sound of the stock muffler for reference, this thing has a nice deeper rumble to it.
- Fact
- Stupid is as stupid does. Is 270 hp with this muffler, a CAI and Max17 stupid? Probably to the people who think a 600 E-Tec is snappy, maybe even those poor misguided souls who think the 850 is "fast", but not to me. I see it as a wise investment in my sanity and mental well being.
- They'll never know and with this there wouldn't be enough probable cause to disassemble it. It'll pass any of the tests I can find with flying colors. My stock Apex was a lot louder.
- With PowerTrail (or even EcoTrail) I think it's safe to assume it will increase your testosterone output by a minimum of 6 ppm. But if it lasts for more than 4 hours you're supposed to see a doctor for some reason.
Wow! Thank You for doing this.
Beerman do you want this in FAQ sticky? Is certainly top candidate would still be open and go to top when reply is made or you add something. But I will admit many don't look there first!

I'll leave it to you - I'd be fine with that if everyone finds enough value in this thread.Beerman do you want this in FAQ sticky? Is certainly top candidate would still be open and go to top when reply is made or you add something. But I will admit many don't look there first!

Now that's what i'm talkin' about! Straight up opinion from a straight up guy with a big set of Cajones to say what he really thinks! I know some are going to argue, but each has their OWN criteria. I mentioned from the day i brought "Mater" home. (Mater as in Tow Mater because i towed 3 sleds let year). I need a little more sound if not at least a "cooler' sound. The extra MPG will help huge (with a tune). The extra power is not needed, but who am i to say NO. My last criteria was better chain case access, but hey 2 out of 3 ain't bad.
I was going to wait, but this makes it harder & harder not to pick up that phone right now. My clutch kit is adjustable, so i should be all set. Maybe i need to grow some Cojones & just shut up...

Isn't all TD's stuff 15% off right now? If you get a good enough deal on something it's the same as saving money . . . You'd be foolish not to make an investment that has a guaranteed return like that.

Peer pressure.........or Beer pressure..........actually Beerman pressure. 15% off is a good deal. I HATE when people make sense.....especially with MY money! I was hoping to save up for a better tune for my FJ-09 & a new gun or two. When is the TD deal over with?
