79 grams. Wow that is like 11 grams more then myself. Not saying that’s wrong at all. That’s some serious weight on heavy hitters. Holly sh$&.No Jon this is Ultimax on stock clutches.

What weight do you have for base and in each hole if you do t mind fatchance? ThanksNo Jon this is Ultimax on stock clutches.
Like I have said before. I really like this set up. It's not a belt blower. It pulls like a freight train and I have numbers to back it up. Good back shift to boot. It's just that damn primary that makes me nervous
Now I haven't had these out since last year mind you , but I have the 3/4 slug in the heal the 7/16 with a tungsten washer in the middle and the big boy brass with a tungsten in the tip. I'll have to look back on my notes to confirm this though.

Thanks. So black and lime @9/1. Is this a lot? I’m not familiar with the blk/lime. Dalton spring?Tungsten washer in the tip only. Spring wrapped 9/1
Yes. the black lime is a very stout torsional Dalton AC spring. Stiffer than both the green and the white. It really helps get more backshift with that 45 start angle. 9/1 is wrapped pretty tight. I doubt you could do it on the sled. You need to use the duck tape trick on the floor

Okay. I figured as much. So my 6/3 on the TP orange is not bad at all. I can do it by hand on the bench. That 33 finish is what’s factoring into your set up with 79 gram. HH. Very interesting info. The wrap of 9/1 on the black lime is not 100 degrees wrap it’s more like 60 degrees. It has different tang locations than the yamaha springs. Jon if your clutches aren’t hot then your fine but I doubt they are with that much spring twist. I suggest a 37/33 helix from Dalton, they now have some nice low finish angles that would probably be a better choice than having too wrap so tightly to prevent slipping.

I believe you could really turn down your wrap with that helix and reduce belts temps.

Gotcha. I understand the thinking. Obviously I would have to add a ton of weight to primary also. With that helix you mention. I have had good life on clutch components with the straight 38. But I’m really intrigued with the helix you mention. I still feel like the lighter weight and more helix angle gets me longer clutch/ belt life. Maybe I give up 2-3 on top but 0-100 ? Hard to teach a new cat new tricks? Or is it old cat new tricks. LolI believe you could really turn down your wrap with that helix and reduce belts temps.

Well finally got a chance to take sled out on 270 tune with dtay1 empty and and secondary blck/orange wrapped 6-3. On 1200 ft pull getting about 8400 rpm. Is there any thing besides buying qay 70s dalton's that would raise my rpm up dont really want to spend another $200 for cam weight
