vector ltx rear suspension noise

our 2008 vector ltx rear suspension makes a fairly loud clunking noise on the rebound of the skid. i thought the shock might be blown and lost the dampening and rebound just off the spring but, then pushed hard on the track and it seemed to be hitting the tunnel protectors (track within specs fro tension). anyone had this problem, or any suggestions?

It's the transfer rod extending and clunking. Very common and nothing to worry about.
