After waiting for weeks for my new drive shaft to come in, rode my Attak last night and what a difference in lack of vibration. After my shaft broke I was thinking back if I noticed any excess vibration, and I didn't think I had any. Now that I put the new shaft in, boy was I ever wrong! Very smooth. The old shaft was cracked for a while because there was a rust line where it broke. I think I didn't notice the vibration because it was getting worse over a period of time, a little more, a little more. There are of course many things that can cause vibration, not trying to scare anyone here, but try to check your shaft if you've ruled out other sources. Mine broke (as others) between the chaincase side driver and locking collar, even with the edge of the driver. I think you can loosen that collar and slide it away from the driver to check for cracks, but that may still not reveal where the crack is. Remember--break that shaft, loose your brakes. It makes sense that's where most of them have been breaking, because that's the spot that get's the most torque applied during acceleration and decelleration.

How many millage before it break on you?
I have vibration on my right running board.

Mine is around 3000 miles, did you replace your drive shaft with the same piece or a stronger one?

Replaced with another OEM shaft, I should have looked elsewhere but I already had it ordered. We'll see it this one holds up.
