Viper gas cap

Does anyone know if the viper uses the same gas cap as the other Arctic Cat pro cross sleds or does it use the Yamaha one? I was looking at getting a billet cap from Tricked Toyz and wanted to make sure it was the same as the AC's

Yes, but I read that people were having problems with the Yamaha one stripping the threads on the tank. http://www.ty4stroke.com/threads/billet-fuel-cap.130603/ supposedly Tricked Toyz made a custom die and claim their caps don't have that problem. A buddy of mine talked to them today and will be ordering them up for a few of us. I know someone that has one on his 9000 and has not had any problems with it in 3 years. I just wish they offered some better patterns. I'm going with this one.

For whatever reason an aluminum cap on a plastic neck can cause issues. If you partially cross thread the aluminum cap it at all it will give grief. I have a cap for my Honda generator that ate the crap out of the threads.

I have T T gas caps for years the best. I have one on my viper love it!!! no problems with threads at all!!27.000ks on my doo threads look new.
