Hey I recently purchased a 2015 Viper MTX for this year. It has 900 miles on it. Ive noticed that if you go full throttle at any speed, doesnt matter if you are at a dead stop or going 60 mph, the sled hits the rev limiter. I noticed the clutches have marker on them so im assuming previous owner did some tweaking on stuff. What would I need to change or adjust to improve this?

I think good start is check is there stock spring and weights in primary clutch. I think you will need more weight or softer spring to get that rpm peaking down...

The stock springs on Vipers is black with 3 dots on it....Blue/Silver/Blue or Green/Green/Green in that order.
The weights have a number stamped into them which is 8GL or 8BU
Which belt are you running? If it is an 8DN-17641, that could be part of the problem. Stock Viper calls out an 8JP-17641 belt. A lot of people switched to that belt.
If that isn't the case, your clutches could be stuck or not moving freely. We rebuild clutches everyday and seeing a lot of problems with the Viper clutches hanging up and the spyder sliders getting cocked inside, making the clutch not move correctly.

Gotcha Hamie...you have the setup that has caused plenty of problems with the MTX Viper calibration.
Your setup should have the 8BU weights and if you have a Yamaha store there, you can try a Green/Pink/Green Yamaha spring. This G/P/G spring is the same rate, but has less preload and a little less total force. This should keep you off the rev limiter.

FIRST thing to do check the weights (rivets in primary clutch weights) to see if it is clutched for your elevation!!! If the primary weights are not weighted correctly for your elevation it will hit the rev limiter if is clutched incorrectly. Also check your primary spring color, secondary spring color and secondary spring wrap to see if it is set up to stock specs for your elevation.
