2014 Viper MPI turbo, taller gearing, Ulmer clutch and tuning.
Hello I have a 2014 MPI Viper ltx se. I’m approaching 5000 miles. I was wondering what I should be expecting to repair and what I should keep an eye on. Iv heard about the jack shaft bearings. Does anyone know a price estimate for that to be fixed at a shop? Also how long should I expect these clutches to last. I’m toying with upgrading to a sidewinder but I like hearing my turbo and I’m not really looking to drop that much cash. Thanks for all the information. Also if anyone could link a clutch maintenance/tear down for dummies that would be awesome!

Maybe the top gear in the chaincase...
Clean or replace oil separator...

So replace top gear and I’m going to get the bearing all replaced with new and then what do the shocks need?

I did not replace any bearings till 8000mi but I cleaned and repacked all every spring.
Well I’m the second owner so I don’t know if I can get buy with that. How would I check and see if they need replaced or just cleaned.

Pop the seals and visual along with gritty feeling and extreme play. Can even hear when clean. By time your done with bogeys you will be a expert I bet. If needing replacement oem or better. Avoid China if possible.

Ok will do and I read that the bearing are tapered. Also what all do you do to the shock becuse I’ll keep you in mind if they start to get springy. I’m trying to make a list for when I actually get to 5000. I’m a fan of preventing failures.

Refresh is complete disassembly cleaning and inspection. Refill and bleed Amsoil and recharge with nitrogen.

I’m one of the few that is happy with my fox floats up front. Do you do anything to the ones in the skids to make them better for the stutter bumps. They handle big ones like a champ and I’m a heavier guy.
