I know there's been a lot of ski spring swapping such as straight rate springs, anyone tried using the stock '02 Viper springs? Would there actually be any benefit? I measured both Viper and RX, seem pretty close. I haven't yet changed to the longer links and larger sway-bar, but am planning on it.

There's no point in putting on a viper spring when you know the exact specs of the perfect spring. Straight rate 130 to 150 lb/inch depending on how firm you *like* it. The 03's had multi-rate front springs that exacerbated the squirrly front end issue that some people complained about. 04 and newer are good with all stock front end, though the springs may be a tad on the soft side, I think they're 110's (?). Not necessary to change the 04 or newer spring unless you really feel that its too soft.

I'm sure It's possible, but I would think the viper springs would be too soft. The weight they're set to support (viper front end) has to be less than the Rx. Ya never know though, it's all personal preferance.

Monker: he said spring, not shock. You can't use a viper front shock because of different length. Even RS has a different length from RX.

LOL, you gotta be clear about what you're talking about. You *said* shocks.

The spring was engineered for the sled, its weight, and type of suspension.

Thanks guys, I didn't even think of the weight difference of what the springs are supporting, must have had a case of stupid. I'll be getting some of the straight rate springs hopefully if my boss (wife) says I can!
