Just piping in.....I have the EVO flash, fuel controller and module. My map is set at all 0's so it follows the EVO flash. The Rev Extend is not checked/clicked so it follows the EVO flash to 9,800 rev limit. If it were checked/clicked....it would branch off from the preset rev and follow the module curve to a preset 9,600 rev limit set by them.
With this setup, I can have the EVO flash, 2 step (or launch control), record all my data with the Pod and still be able to make changes if need be.

i remember years ago with the rapid bike on the turbo apexs we used to bump a few degree of timing down low around engagement and low rpm. And then take a few degrees out up top for safety and to be able to run 1-2lbs more boost.
I have been playing with the AC and ski doos for a while and lost touch on the Yamaha.
Guys with the PCV ignition module. Has anyone done this yet with success. I havent adjusted timing with it and still have it set stock.
I am running a hurricane stage 1 set at 6lbs. Just looking for a few more safe hp
What's your opinions
Haven't seen an answer to your original question yet, but to go along with your question I hope that is possible with the ignition module, I'd certainly think it is, if you can pull timing at full boost at say 9000 rpm I'd think you could add timing at 3-4000 rpm to give it that jump. I'm putting the pc5 pti and ignition module on mine, with that I'm hoping to be able to do what you asked about timing but also hoping there's a way to ramp up the boost and actually have it over boost for a second or two then settle in, I know some of the setups for the cat turbos do that and that really helps to eliminate any of the lag and give it the quick jump a turbo tends to lack. Not that the viper lacks that cuz they're very responsive with the turbo, but if the tuning capabilities are there that'd be better yet.

I played with timing this summer on asphalt. Took timing out on the bottom to keep from spinning. Left timing alone on top as I was running race fuel. Am planning on removing timing on top for winter and adding boost, this will make pump gas safer.Haven't seen an answer to your original question yet, but to go along with your question I hope that is possible with the ignition module, I'd certainly think it is, if you can pull timing at full boost at say 9000 rpm I'd think you could add timing at 3-4000 rpm to give it that jump. No experience with asphalt, but gotta think a sled on snow with good traction stuff will probably not spin as bad on asphalt?

When on studder you will. @ 3000 rpm I was making 1# boost. By taking timing out you can spread the power delivery out as you leave the line. When you get setup pm or call me and I'll tell you what to try.No experience with asphalt, but gotta think a sled on snow with good traction stuff will probably not spin as bad on asphalt?

I'll take u up on that, the forecast isn't looking good tho, just heard today that we could have a couple days in the 60's next week..hard to get too excited about winter with that kind of weather!

Just to confirm, you did get rev extend working on your machine, correct?I played with timing this summer on asphalt. Took timing out on the bottom to keep from spinning. I saw the agreement in the PCV software to allow rev extend. Once agreed to, does it present a settings box to set what you want to limit to?

I emailed Ulmer about this header last night and he stated and there is a post on here somewhere that he did extensive dyno test this year with MBRP, Straight line and EVO and the MBRP had no hp gain over the stock header. So unless you want a $400.00 thing of beauty where no one can see it save your money. It's canadian price so more like $300 for us exchange guys good value for sure!
