I have a 14 Viper and when riding in deeper snow I started to get a wet right foot. Has anyone else noticed this problem? It seems like it might be the trough for the bottom of the chain case might be scooping up snow then it melts from the engine compartment heat. Or its getting in somewhere else and melting on the muffler then. dripping down on top of my boot. I bought Klim adrenaline Goretex boots for this year to deal with it but would like to find the problem.

I remember that before I put a full skid plate on. No issues since. There is a lot of places for snow to get in and melt. If I ran off trail a lot I would seal them as best I could with Silicone or even that Gorilla tape. They claim it stick to everything!

Had it happen n the left foot, but not the right. Seems like the snow packs in there carving and sidehilling and the melts on you boot from engine heat. Least my boots are warm even when they feel like your wearing sponges instead of socks. Good boots are probably the best bet as I don't think your gonna keep the snow out off trail or in the deep.

I had the same problem. It was from snow melting and dripping on my boots. That's how I found out my boots were no longer waterproof. Got a new set of boots and my problems went away

I had the same problem as Snoninja. New boots corrected the issue. If you don't wanna spring for new boots try a bread bag over sock.
