I do not have a sled but have been planning on getting one for a while. I have just sold my KTM bike and had planned to buy a FX with the $$ but am thinking maybe it would be better to just wait now until the 2008s are out and hope the first year defects are sorted out.

Are there any common problems worth waiting for fixes or should I grab one of tha last Phazers that dealers here in Ontario still have?

Another thought is just wait and get a very unused used sled at the end of the season from someone that isn't happy with their Phazer and save a bunch of money.

Your thoughts?

If you got the bug to ride, and have snow to ride on , buy now...
If you don't really care and have other things to keep you busy, wait until the new sleds come out, but then again in 2008, will you want to wait for the 2009?...
For me it's all about the riding and the camaraderie, so I would buy NOW!

Here in Ontario the season will be over in six weeks at best and really only four weeks if consistent snow conditions are the standard. We have lost six weeks of riding with the amazingly warm winter we have had. I have not owned a sled for 20 years and so do not miss what I have not had, but I bet once I get one again I will hate this kind of winter.

Soon I will not need to decide because all the sleds will be sold as most dealers are down to their last few already.

That lack of snow has likely contributed to the underwhelming response to your question.

From my own limited experience with my FX and reading the content here in TY, there doesn't appear to be any major, deal-breaker items that require serious fixing.

Of course there will be changes and improvements to make the '08 sleds better but if it were my decision I'd go out and get the best deal possible on a '07.

Just my 2 pesos...
