Would I be better to look for a xtx skid or do tip up rail extensions?? Anyone have a good 144 track to sell thanks

I may have a studded 144 track in excellent condition for sale from an 11 XTX Apex but won't know for three or four weeks it I will b selling it.

eveything I have heard on the extended rails has been good you already got the newer style with ps and exup I would think it would be cheaper to add extended rails but I would shop around and see maybe you run into a deal some love the 128 most that have the 144 love itbut there are those that would rather have the 128 maybe a trade would work with the right person/sled post a classified add you never know.

sell or trade your '11 for a '12 or newer XTX

Track tension increases when the mono skids extended to a 144 go through the range of travel. Track must be run looser to compensate. Not a big deal since your sled has extrovert drivers.

The other thing to keep in mind is an xtx skid design and location allows for a better approach angle to help the sled get up on top of snow without trenching. If you extend a mono shock with no setback the approach angle is not improved.

Your tunnel already has the front xtx skid mount hole punched into the aluminum. You could just drill through the steel inside backer plate and transfer the outer triangle brackets to the front xtx hole.

The rear would require the xtx drop brackets or possibly relocating the stock 128 drop brackets.

I have some xtx skids here if you opt to go that route.
