My buddies 06 rtx warning light came on this weekend. Just the warning light. No codes, or any other indications like the fuel,or the temperature. After going through sled on the trail everything working fine except for radiator fan. The motor was bound. I have a motor on order. we rode about 200 miles and it would come on and stay on for awhile and then go out. The sled ran great all weekend. The only thing I can think of is (cause temps. were in middle 30f) was the coolant got a little warm and it called for the fan but the motor was bound and it signaled the warning light. But no temp. indicator light and no codes. Anyone have a similar problem or can think of anythig? We discovered this problem at 8 miles and ended about doing about 220 miles over 2 days with NO problems. The other theory is his instrument cluster is bad, because his fuel gage has been broken for about 600 miles.
Figured it out,when fuel gage did not work it showed empty and lit the lamp.

I think that because your fuel level is not working that the fuel level sender is sending a low fuel signal to activate the warning light. The warning light is for low fuel as well as temp.
