Just interested in wait time in days from time you drop sled off till you pick it up finished. If a part is backordered note that.I have never had warranty work done by a shop till now and would like to see when it is reasonable for me to start freaking out. This isnt for crash damage or something like that what I want to know is the warranty work time. Thanks,

The dealer I work with can get me back on the trail for the up and coming weekend if all the parts are not on back order. If the parts are on backorder, you can not really freak on your dealer since it is not there fault, instead you need to persistently call yamaha and see if they can do anything for you. Backorders are always scary to me because it seems when the day comes that a part gets off back order, the parts backorder date just get pushed back more.
Well part was on hand last week wednesday.Sled has been sitting outside at dealer with sidecovers off for two weeks now.

Anything that is not a Yamaha official released update or recall seems to take forever. Parts are usually about a month. It's horrible.

i make sure they have everything before my sled goes anywhere. my sled sleeps in a shop thats warmer than my freakin house ill be damned if theyre gonna let it sit outside last time i took it in ileft ice all over it. dealer said it took longer to do because of iceberg i told him try riding it like that.he says thats one of the things you have to deal with if you ride a phazer ha
I had 3 friends giving me the beans about my sled being outside for 2 weeks.Glad I didnt say anything since I went over to dealer and it was just about done.I cannot repeat what was said about the job itself and the sled.Lets just say dealer is at end of his rope with my Phazer.I dont think he will be so helpful in getting warranty for my sled anymore.Cant say I blame him to much. After thinking about it even though I missed 2 weeks of riding my Phazer I feel sorry for the dealers. They didnt build the sled.Wish they did though since first thing I looked for was the bottle of Loctite and yes the mechanic used it!So can we conclude that 2weeks for warranty work is reasonable?

My service department has been great, awesome to tell you the truth in turning the Phazer around on warranty work. The longest was around 36 hours for the front pivot arm break, we overnighted the parts. Just dropped it off for no start and a few other items yesterday afternoon...first thing this morning it's been looked at and fixed to the best it can be.
That's the one thing keeping me thinking to stay with big blue. I am absolutely satisified with my service department...

Your a lucky guy.I feel as if I have used up all my favors.Things were fine as long as I was doing the work.Funny thing is all I want is too ride it.In the 2weeks I was without my Phazer I put 750 miles on my 98 SRX. O- repairs.I didnt dare ask for them to check the starter. Will do that on my own.Hopefully that is last of issues since I believe I am on my own now.
