I need to weld a hole in a 06 Apex front heat exchanger. I have the track out but was told if its welded in place on the sled the ground from welder could burn out electrical components. Is this a fact? What do I need to disconect if so. Supposed to take this in tomorrow afternoon.

unhook the battery and I think you would be ok. You have to take the headlight cluster and air box out to get to it.

I welded mine, just dropped the skid and driveshaft out to do it, unhook battery as safety precaution

If you're going to remove the airbox to unhook the battery, unplug the ECM while you're in there. It's just a matter of pulling the plug out.
