Looking for impressions of exhaust note and performance from those that have gone different than stock.

Please describe performance gains (if any) and tone on your modified exhaust. If you required a tune for your exhaust, please also make sure you state so.

Would you do it again, or get something else?

I run a TD Tune and have 3 exhausts: D+D modified stock, TD Super Quiet, and OSP Racing. (Resembles TD turboflow.)

SQ and OSP mufflers turn same rpm, mod muffler turns 100 rpm less.

Biggest bang for buck IMO is the Superquiet. It isn't annoying, fairly quiet, nice little bark when on the gas and makes good power.

I run at TD modified stock exhaust. I wear hearing aids ,and to tell you the truth ,I would not want anything loader.I find the older I get.
The quieter the exhaust and bigger the windshields are getting.
I see you have hearing aids .
Any chance you owned an Apex or 2 along the way?
I am having hearing issues and think it was the drone of the Apex or the B52's in the 70's !!

Yes I had the ultimate drone machine the Apex. Loved the throttle response but hated the ride and drone. But I was younger then ,so the noise was cool ,but even the then that dread 30 to 50 mph drone SUCKED!

I knew the hearing culprit was the Apex.
I started with the RX-1 in 2003 , and rode that great 4cylinder Genesis 4 stroke till last year .
I still have my 2015 XTX but have not driven it once since the Sidewinder arrive ly.

I just put snowtrackers on my SW tuners , as I did on the Apex .
I don't see any mods in that department for you ??
My sled is otherwise stock , and I love it, but your assortment of upgrades is something I would do , sooner than later .
Just down the road in Burlington , but sled up in Muskoka.

I'm running Hurricanes stock Hi-Flow replacement muffler with their Tune bundle at 270 most all the time and love it. Wouldn't want it any louder than it is at all. Quiet is best for me.

Actually I also run snowtrackers, but I installed them last year so I have the old version.

I got the ggb mountain can (claim you don’t need a tune. We’ll see) and I’m on the fence. Sound isn’t too loud, for me anyway. But I’d love to hear that turbo a little more then anything.

I was waiting for the "stock mod copy"NEW hurricane
When it arrived, i had the opportunity to see their home made "stock mod" made in canada side by side whit their new exhaust made in somewhere ...... I changed my mind pretty fast. i run their stock mod build in Canada
Louder than stock for sure

Thanks for the feedback everyone! It’s most appreciated. It’s sounding like, based on your input, for store bought cans, a mod stock can no tune is a safe and relatively rewarding bet.

Let’s say someone was looking something more Sport bike sound, anyone say their pipe sounds like this, or mod a can themselves to get that note?

No, you can't run a mod stock can on a stock ECU.

You can only run a muffler designed for the Stock tune of which there are not many. I know of the Hurricane/Hindle and that's the only one I know of. It will have a louder sport bike sound too if that's what you're looking for.

TD power here...max spool 17 and have run the following...OSP like turboforce...louder and makes power...Sandale 3" ...deeper tone ...Excell ....and TD race pipe...

I like the excell for a small packaged trail exhaust...but if I wanted quieter yet...Id try the TD mod stock....

today on the lake ...max spool 17 with TD race pipe was insane...
