Well I took off my oil side panel to hook up a battery tender and found this laying under the oil tank. I was jumping snow piles in the yard so I'm sure it was bouncing around. This off season I had all the plastic off and I added the tunnel cooler and replaced the rad so I had the tank off as well. I don't remember seeing this taking it apart though. Any help or insite would be great. Thanks

Well it's not for the rad, and not I've got to find my 10mm socket that fell somewhere into the abyss of the engine compartment!! Ugh!

I'd say it would be the trail tank one... If I had a trail tank. This is a super fun game lol. Thanks for the help. Could it be a part for the stock tank?

Did you have the radiator overflow bottle off? Looks like the collar/spacer that goes on that bolt to keep from over tightening it and cracking the tab on the overflow tank.

I believe that is it, looks like it is missing it. Thanks for all the help guys. Now to try to find the socket that's in there somewhere.

Just do what I did a few years back. Buy 3 every time you go to the tool shop. That seems to be the one used and lost the most. I wonder how many sleds I fixed over the years and which ones have my 10mm socket. Now I only work on one sled at a time and put every tool back in the box before the sled leaves. More then once I have opened a sled hood to find tools from the owner. They are always surprised when I hand them a bag of extras.
What area were you working on when you lost it. Might help narrow down a tough tight spot to look at.
