My mcx turbo apex will not start unless you hold throttle open and crank until battery is about done until it fires and starts. Then it runs fine until you try to start again. I keep looseing track clips and it put a hole in the cooler in front of drivers. Had the sled on side to weld ,then the problems started. Oil level ok, no codes. Please help.

Do not give it any throttle at startup, it will flood even more that way. Unhook the power supply to the extra fuel pump to start it, running on the stock fuel pump only. The extra fuel pump is the problem feeding the injectors with too high fuel pressure at startup, thus it floods. REMEMBER to hookup the extra fuelpump powersupply once the engine fires, or else bad things/detonation will happen on your first attempt of WOT. Talked to MCXpress about this problem a few weeks ago.

put a hob switch in then to a relay then power up pump at desired boost level. i found my sled hard on fuel with secondary pump running constantly. worked great.switched pump on at around 10p.s.i.

Thanks, I think your right, will check that. Wher do you get a hob switch? Maybe the mcx box has moisture in it.

I am having the same problem, I allways have to open thorttle
to start (cold or hot) does not seem to matter. I need to get this fixed
