What MPH are Stock rx-1s getting in 1000 feet?

curious because you saw what the 05 F7 & Mach Z ran? Lemme just tell ya we can run with them! :4STroke:

05 F7 on wet grass has been running 97-98 & mach has been running 102.

104.5 MPH in 1000 ft on ice 144 trail studs. "Kinda stock."

I saw that when Billy Howard posted it. If the F7 is stock, I would say that the Mach is not as impressive asI thought it would be. 4mph more, for a sled that costs a measly $6000 more? What a bargain!

But you have to consider, that SDI system is going to have most of the guys tied down performance-wise for awhile. Not like they will be able to get drastic with porting and pipes and not be able to tune the EFI.

The SDI fuel control boxes (to add and remove fuel throughout the curve) have already been made and are currently being tested.

Both the 05 F7 & Mach were box stock, not all that surprising considering the F7 weighs around 470 lbs & 145 hp and the Mach is 520 lbs & 165 hp.

Speed after 1000 feet is 126mph.

Free Fall

Terminal Velocity = sqrt ( 2 * m * g / c * p * A)

where

m = 318.18 RX-1 mass in (kg) (tank full and 2 beers under tool kit)
c = 1.5 drag coefficient - constant
m = 1 Thickness in meters
1 m diameter in meters
A 1 m^ cross-sectional area as seen from below
g 9.81 m/s^2 acceleration of gravity
p 1.2929 kg/m^3 density of air

m/s 56.73588623 m/s
mph 126.1849013
