Buying a 2012 Vector for the wifee, which track length? I wish they would of gone to the 128 like on the Apex. With the EPS thinking that the 136 might be ok. We have a 2011 Apex with the EPS and love it, thats why I want to get her the Vector so I can drive the 2011 Apex. I have had the long tracks before and felt that they were a little long at times, the EPS might fix that.

My wife didn't like driving my long track apex. We got her a short track 11' Vector GT and she loves it! Maybe she would like a 12 Vector LTX with power steering.

Adding the EPS
Thats what I am thinking, the EPS might change the long track handling. My wife didn't like the long track Apex as well.

LTX all the way!!
I would never go back to a 121" after buying our 136" Vector. It rides sooo good, and can only imagine how they are with EPS too. I have plans to stretch my Apex to 136" also.
My wife rides the Vector when we go together. She's 5'1" 110 lbs, and puts on 100+ mile rides with zero problem.
The slight reduction in tight turning radius is no reason to skimp on ride quality. Especially to keep her comfortable.

Get the LTX, and don't look back .... the 121's are "old school"
The quality of ride far out-weighs any negative issues.
Everyone worries about a 136 on the tight twisty trails. Those are the roughest trails of your day , that is where the LTX can really fly through that studdery ,bumpy, holey, jittery, ditchy....you get the idea.

LTX or shorty 121
I was leaning toward the LTX and now with the extra input its going to be LTX for sure, might also explain why I have like 6 121's available and only a couple of LTX's. Thanks for the imput, anyone have a 2012 LTX that wants to add more comments?

not an '12 but
I bought a '10 LTX coming off an '05 GT 121". I notice zero negatives on the length. Can't discern turning radius difference at all. The only difference I see is how the thing sits on the trailer and I have room for a nice tunnel bag for storage.

I bought my first LTX this year, and would never go back. You don't notice the extra length, but you sure notice the nicer ride.

Re: LTX or shorty 121
Ok, now that we sold you a 136. You will have 3 more track cleats on the snow. If you are on the fence with studds , try it without first, you may find you dont need them. I dont run them, dont like them, dont need them. Have no problems without them.

LTX
Made the deal on a 2012 LTX, picking it up tomorrow. I think the wife should love it. Struggled with waiting for a 2013 model spring specials but got some good snow so decided to buy now and ride now. Hope I don't kick myself for this one, might of got free 3 or 4 year warranty instead of the one that comes with the sled now. The only saving grace in my mind is its a Yamaha, they don't break. Will give a first drive ride report. Think snow.

do yourself a favor
don't ride it, just let her. You're not gonna get back on that apex unless you've got a lake race lined up ;>)

Re: not an '12 but
I don't think you can put a tunnel bag on with the rear exhaust.
I had a bag strapped on the seat of my Rage and within 10 miles the exhaust heat melted my bungee cords right in half.
With the turnouts you may be ok but I would put something on there as a tryout first and then if it works be real carefull nothing ever shifts to the exhaust path
