I've done a search on this topic to no avail, and I was wondering if I can get some opinons on this. On a "12 Apex, I'm installing a temp gauge, and there are four wires on the gauge. Red-12v Accessory, Black-Ground, Yellow-12v Power and Green-Temp Sensor. Would there be any drawback to wiring both the Red and the Yellow to a Blue/White wire on the sled, which from what I've read would be keyed power once the engine is started. I purchased the Digital Water Temp gauge from Prosport. I could see why they would do this in a car, to check your temps. or whatever gauge you have hooked up, w/o starting the engine, but I don't really want to hook directly to 12v source all the time, fearful of power drain. Also, I'm assuming If I spliced them together and attached them to a singular wire, I should hook up an in-line fuse, but I don't know what amperage. On the literature provided with the gauge it is not written. Should 2amps suffice or larger recommended? Thanks for your replies.
