Wont go into reverse

I have less than 500 miles on 07 FX and it will not go into reverse. Is there a quick fix I can try beore loading it up and haulling it 50+ miles to the nearest dealer for warrentty work?

jump up and down on it - works for my fx

Rock the sled back and forth slightly to easy the engagement. Especially when cold

I have to give mine a little tug forward or reverse to get it to work.

A lot of times I have to shut down and restart the engine before reverse will work.

What is your idling rpm?
If it is too high it will not shift into reverse.

I have tried all of that but still nothing - the light just blinks. Thanks

When you get a few more mls on the belt deflection will be more and it will go in with alittle rock of the sled

You need to bring it to your dealer and get the reverse update done on it. I think they change the servo motor. I had a problem with mine brought it in and they updated it and now it works awsome!

It would help if you push the reverse button. Mind control doesn't work. Oh yeah and next time you go through the swamp first
