I have put 40 miles on my new Attak with stock skis and noticed lots of snow spray from them , worse in the deeper stuff. Also did get plenty of darting but did not do the shim trick.
Insted i went out and bought a set of simmons with 6" inside cutting carbide and rode the same trails, Incredible NO spray in the face with snow and all darting is gone. This thing now goes where you want it to, No surprises!
My only regret is i wish i put them on my last sled { RX1] They are that good.
I do recomend them..

Yup i reinstalled an older set of ski-doo precision skis i had kicking around from my 03 rx1 days,i took the sled out yesterday with the new snow/hard crust on top, OMG thought i was going to get killed with the stock ski and 10" of agressive carbide, went back into the garage and went to putting the old stand bys back on,wow magicly delious, now all i need is some carbide, the 4" ones are about shot,so now i had to go back and adjust my transfer back down again, but what a differance, now if i could get to that clip on the ra shock with out taking the shock completely out of the sled,so i had a little more preload on the spring,it may be ok,but i now think i will tighten up the straps one hole and if i have to do the clip, before i have the big boy spring changed, plus i may pick up the 13MM swaybar!!

Did any of you try dooley's before changing skis?

If you try dooleys dont use woodys I tried a set this weekend they help get ride of darting but when they weld the wear bars to the flat metal that bolts to the ski it leaves and edge to catch on things . I caught something on the trail this weekend and it bent both my A-arms on my new Apex GT . I am not very happy . I think stud boy makes a set that is all one piece not just a piece of metal with a couple of war bars welded on .

They won't help for snow spray or flotation like the Simmons.fatchance said:Did any of you try dooley's before changing skis?

I have Simmons on my RTX as well.

Where do you get Simmons skis ? Do have to go directly through them and how much is everybody paying for simmons skis with carbides ?

I bought them through a local supplier for $410.00 and that included 6" inside cutting carbides with the colored skis and handle with mounting plate..
This should be the going rate.
