My 2011 Nytro XTX is bogging in deeper snow. I turned my secondary spring tension up to 9 and it helped a bit. After talking to a buddy of mine he recommended i changed the springs in both the secondary and primary to a heavier one and add weight. What does everyone recommend for springs and weights? I was thinking of adding the springs and weights off a 2011 Nytro MTX. I wonder if that would fix the problem. HELP

You're going to blow a pile of belts too!
With the 2.25 track on the MTX, Yamaha reduces the driver diameter by 8% (9 tooth x 2.52" pitch versus 7 tooth x 3" pitch). Chaincase mountian gearing is 18/40 and sea level gearing is 22/40.
With a 2" paddle, at low altitude, I'd be gearing down at least one tooth from stock 21/39 (5%), and if you plan to take it to the mountians, 19/39 (10%) would be a good starting point.
I guess the point is that your not going to do 100mph with a 2" paddle, so you might as well gear the sled to releive the belt of some stress and give your clutching a chance to perform. You might not think it, but even taking one tooth out of your chaincase will add major clutch performance and also add kilometers to your belt life!

I believe stock top gear on the 2011 XTX is already 21 tooth. So should I go down to 20 tooth top and leave the bottom at 39? Also would I require a new chain or just adjust the tension?

- something from 2019!
yea, stock is 21/39 with the track you have it would even be better to put in a 19/39 but the 20 will be better than stock. no need for a new chain with either one of those setups. adjust the tension and go have fun!

Gear way down. I've done 119mph speedo (115mph GPS) with the stock track. You'll never pull that with that gear so go down big and wheelie away!!
