At last here is a pic of my RX1 and Attak Y-pipes. Yamaha covered everything, still didn't get the RX1 pipes so I had to cobble it together for the weekend (backorder). They gave me 4 y-pipes, 8 clamps, 3 head gaskets, 4 pipe gaskets, and 12 Y-pipe gaskets. The extra stuff is for the backordered on the RX1 so they gave me extra to re-do it. Said they would pay the dealer to do it but I want to do it myself to get it the best possible. The Attak y-pipes with the new clamps were tight so no grinding was required. Maybe the clamps stretch at first tightening and then they need to be ground to re-use. I used a little ultra copper on the gaskets and to keep the clamps in place when the gaskets wear. The RX1 is put together with extra hose clamps and muffler tape to get through the weekend. I'll report the results of both experiments as soon as I tear in again, which will be next week when the pipes come in for the RX1. I have 1 left side Attak pipe, used in good condition I will sell if someone is in a bind on the backorder thing (the dealer gave them back to me)

Wonder if any of the aftermarket exhaust manufacturers will jump in to make an improved replacement and make it available or will Yamaha address the issue and come out with a "new & improved" replacement system that will last much, much longer?
